The Yard at Battersea is a natural convenience store with a difference. Specialising in natural pizza delivery, natural meal delivery and fresh ready-to-go meals, The Yard requires an EPoS system as forward-thinking and successful as their product.

The Yard deliver pre-prepared meals and natural bake-at-home pizza. The customer calls or places their order online and then turns on their oven. The team at the Yard hand-make the pizza with quality natural ingredients and deliver it straight to the customer who can then pop it in their oven and eat it baking hot. The Andromeda EPoS system incorporates a fully-featured order-taking system with a sophisticated driver dispatch system – enabling efficient and organised delivery.

The Yard also supply freshly prepared ready-to-go meals – popular with families and business men and women in the area.

Richard, owner of The Yard has a background in finance. His busy lifestyle left him little time to eat healthily:

“I ate microwave meals for a long time and discovered that I was almost addicted to salt! I made an effort to start eating healthily and discovered that organic food can be costly and very time consuming. The Yard is a concept born out of our eagerness to consume quality natural food from environmentally aware sources. The Yard has one simple aim – to make natural and organic food more convenient.”

The EPoS hardware at the Yard has been provided by PC-PoS UK Ltd. The Andromeda software runs on two semi-integrated IT1500 systems. One on the shop floor for order-taking and transactions and another in the kitchen for staff to receive orders and delivery information. The Andromeda software provides a user-friendly user interface and is packed with powerful features such as inventory & labour cost control, marketing, a full suite of reports on all aspects of the business, two-second card processing, SMS messaging on dispatch, free online mapping and integrated 24/7 web ordering.
